General summary
Plans and directs the University鈥檚 annual giving campaign and related fundraising programs.
Major duties
- Plans, coordinates, implements and manages annual fundraising endeavors throughout the University, including direct mail, telephone, online and other forms of solicitation in collaboration with appropriate gift officers, engagement managers and other University personnel.
- Compiles data to analyze fundraising effectiveness. Researches, analyzes and determines feasibility to implement new strategies.
- Initiates short- and long-term fundraising goals. Develops work plans to achieve goals and manages progress to the goals.
- Develops and implements unit policies, procedures and plans in order to improve efficiency. Ensures sufficient professional development opportunities are planned and executed for staff and student employees.
- Develops effective management, evaluation and reporting systems for the program. Manages unit budgets, including making projections and recommendations.
- Trains, evaluates and supervises staff and student employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Supervisory or lead experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Budget management experience.
Required other
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
