Temperature set point: The desired room temperature selected by the user. The temperature set point can range from 67掳F 鈥 74掳F.
Modes:
Off
No heating or cooling.
Auto
The room temperature will automatically increase or decrease until the desired temperature set point is achieved.
The fan will turn off once the room temperature matches the temperature set point.
The fan will turn back on automatically and provide heating or cooling as required if the room temperature deviates more than +/- 1掳F from the temperature set point.
Operation:
Tap [System Mode] button to toggle between 鈥渙ff鈥 and 鈥渁uto鈥 modes.
When in 鈥渁uto鈥 mode:
Tap [Increase Temperature Set point] or [Decrease Temperature Set point] to display the current temperature set point.
Tap [Increase Temperature Set point] or [Decrease Temperature Set point] again to increase or decrease the temperature set point.
When in 鈥渙ff鈥 mode:
The fan will turn off. There will be no heating or cooling.
Occupancy Status:
Occupied
The apartment is considered 鈥渙ccupied鈥 when the motion sensor detects movement. While the apartment unit is 鈥渙ccupied鈥, the room temperature will be maintained according to the mode and temperature set point selected by the user.
Unoccupied
After 18 hours of inactivity (i.e. no motion in the apartment is detected), the thermostat will go into 鈥渦noccupied鈥 mode. When the apartment is 鈥渦noccupied鈥, the room heat to maintain a minimum temperature of 60掳F or cool to maintain a maximum temperature of 80掳F. The apartment will switch back to 鈥渙ccupied鈥 as soon as movement is detected again, and the room will begin heating or cooling according to the previous mode and temperature set point selected by the user.
Note: For residents of 2-bedroom and 4-bedroom Flat Apartments, the thermostat located in the bedroom is for temperature display only. Residents must use the thermostat located in the living room to adjust the mode and temperature setpoint for the entire apartment unit.
