Group Science Minor for Geology Majors
All geologists are scientists who apply the basic sciences (chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics) to the study of the Earth. As such, all of our majors in the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences at 色色啦 Michigan University require significant cognate studies which glean the basics of these scientific studies. Forming this foundation is a significant undertaking for geologists. The group science minor for geology majors combines two semesters of basic chemistry, two semesters of basic physics, one semester of basic biology plus an additional science (depending on your major). All of these classes include laboratory sections because successful geologists need to be able to apply these sciences.
You Should Minor in Group Science If...
- You are a geology major.
- You are a hydrogeology major.
- Note: Students who are not geoscience majors may not sign up for this minor.
