Student Managed Investment Fund Application
Registration for FIN 5530 Student Managed Investment Fund is by application. The class (3 credit hours) is open to undergraduate and graduate students. It satisfies a major elective requirement in the Finance and Personal Financial Planning majors, as well as an elective for a finance concentration in the MBA Program. Prerequisites are FIN 3510 for undergraduate students and FIN 6120 along with a finance concentration for graduate students. Performance in prior coursework and statement of professional goals are considered for admission to the class. Class size is limited to 10 to 15 students.
A faculty committee will consider all applications. Students will be notified whether or not they have been admitted to the class about a week after the deadline. In the meantime, it is recommended that students register for an alternative course. If they are admitted to FIN 5530, they can drop the other course.
