Industrial Technology Education Major
Program description
This major prepares students to teach industrial technology type courses at the middle and high school level.
Accreditation
Industrial technology major is an approved State Board of Education and North Central Accreditation for Teacher Education (NCATE) teacher education program.
Careers
Teaching in middle, junior high and senior high schools in the specific area chosen. Examples of teaching areas: auto tech, welding, construction trades, drafting and electronics.
Certification
Graduates of this program can be eligible for a State of Michigan K-12 or Secondary Standard Certificate (depending on the teachable major or minor).
