The Emeriti Council is pleased to announce that Dr. Whitney DeCamp, professor of sociology, will be speaking on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 2 p.m. in the Heinig Emeriti Lounge on the second floor of the Walwood building on East Campus. His presentation is titled, "Discrimination in the Jury Selection Process."

He will provide an overview of the process by which some individuals are more or less likely to be removed from juries based on demographic characteristics, its history and empirical findings about the continued presence of discrimination in jury selection.
