Associate Participant Services Administrator at Greenleaf Trust

I am responsible for providing education and communication services to participants of the various retirement plans serviced by Greenleaf Trust. I receive and manage incoming participant inquiries, process participant requests and assist in providing follow-up materials and communications as needed, along with supporting internal processes.

If you had a campus job or internship, how did they impact your career development?

Having the opportunity to be an Orientation Student Leader provided me with such great learning opportunities that impacted me in a variety of ways. It gave me even more confidence to step out of my comfort zone and be confident in my capabilities. It also allowed me to make such a lasting impact on students and taught me how to become a leader within a team setting. I also had the opportunity to intern at Greenleaf Trust prior to joining full time, and interning here allowed me to utilize all of the tools/practices I learned at 色色啦 and immediately translate them into the field. I am grateful for these opportunities and the impact they made on developing me into a young professional.

What activities, resources, or people helped you prepare for your career?

I believe that the Communications Center at the Haworth College of Business as well as the professors are such great resources that helped prepare me for my career. Both the professors and staff at the Communications Center truly take the time to provide students with useful tips/advice to becoming the students they are capable of being. I also believe that studying abroad with Dr. Palmer left such a positive impact on my life that I am hoping to translate the lessons I鈥檝e learned into my future career aspirations.

What advice do you have for others pursuing a career similar to yours?

The best advice I could give to others pursuing a career similar to mine is to get involved in organizations that suit your interests. You would be surprised how big of an impact the people you will meet throughout your time at 色色啦 will have. I also highly advise you to make connections with your professors as well. They are there to help you and watch you grow as a student and young professional. Besides making connections and branching out of your shell, I want to challenge you to be confident in your abilities and keep finding new ways to learn and share your findings with your peers.
