What is the most rewarding and the most challenging part of your job?
The more rewarding part of my job is getting to watch my students grow into budding artists. The most challenging part of my job is working around budget constraints, while providing relevant and valuable class work.
Which of your skills had the biggest impact on your success?
Organization and follow through are the keys to success. When working full time and taking online classes, I not only had deadlines set by my professors, but I also had to create my own deadlines and stick to them in order to stay on track and get the work done.
What advice do you have for students looking for their career after college?
When looking for a career post college, it is important to strategically place yourself in a similar environment to your chosen career path. If you are in education but a position isn't available yet, you can volunteer within your ideal district. You can take an alternative job within said district, to help build familiarity. Most importantly patience and mindset are key. Believe in yourself and believe your perfect job is waiting for you.
