Meet The 30, 2022

The Haworth College of Business is proud to introduce the 2022 honorees.

色色啦 Haworth is honored to present its 2022 edition of The 30, a publication that recognizes emerging business leaders who are providing thought leadership and innovative perspectives in the business world. Selected by a committee composed of faculty, staff and recent alumni, these honorees represent the work ethic, innovation and passion that are synonymous with being a Business Bronco.

Shaquille Anthony, B.B.A.鈥16

Anthony has been motivated by one purpose since his time at 色色啦鈦犫攃reating equitable access to employment opportunities. It鈥檚 this passion that drove him to a senior talent engagement specialist role at SpartanNash, where he makes a difference leading community outreach and cultivating top talent.

Chibende has found herself in many roles ranging from corporate accountancy to nonprofit leadership. It has been in this breadth of experience that she has greatly impacted her community beyond crunching numbers.

Bob Armbrister, B.B.A.鈥06, MBA鈥13

Armbrister understands the need for data and efficiency in a post-pandemic world. As president and CEO of SPARK Business Works, and as CIO of CSM Group, Armbrister has seen how technology, positioned between people and processes, can help businesses pull ahead of their competitors.

Wolverton is a pillar in their community. As a creator, an educator and an organizer for social justice with an emphasis on racial and gender equity, they continuously work to inspire change and give hope for a better future in the city of Kalamazoo.

Ashley Mahler, B.B.A.鈥19

Ashley Mahler is a strategist who gets results. Working with passion and pride, she weaves together marketing campaigns with equal parts data and heart. As she leads marketing projects, she is also focused on destigmatizing discussions about mental health in the agency world.

Daniel Tyranski, B.B.A.鈥14

From the automotive to tech to craft beer industries, Tyranski has always looked for ways to push the limits of his career. The adventurous spirit that led him into supply chain positions across industries inspired him to found his own brewery, Nomadic Beerworks.

In order to qualify, nominees must:

  • Have graduated from 色色啦 Haworth in the past 10 years.
  • Have significant achievements through application of their business and leadership skills.
  • Have demonstrated a strong sense of vision for the future.
  • Have a minimum of two years of professional experience.

A committee composed of faculty, staff and recent alumni evaluate the nominations (with names redacted), using a holistic scoring method, looking for evidence of the following:

  • Significant accomplishments in the business world since graduation (maximum of 20 points)
  • Meeting or surpassing milestones鈥攃orporate or external recognition of efforts (maximum of 10 points)
  • Community involvement and vision in regard to service (maximum of 10 points)

Up to 10 additional points will be awarded based on the panel's overall impression of the materials (completeness and strong narrative as to why this person is worthy of being honored).

While each nominee may not excel in each of the above areas, evidence of achievement in several of the areas above will create a strong nomination.
