Environment, Geography and Sustainability
Launched in Fall 2023, the School of Environment, Geography, and Sustainability serves as the administrative home for a range of existing programs. These programs encompass 11 undergraduate majors, five minors, one graduate degree, and two graduate certificate programs. The programs were previously housed under the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability, the Department of Geography, Environment, and Tourism, the global and international studies program, and the climate change studies minor. Additionally, the School of Environment, Geography, and Sustainability continues to offer a joint graduate certificate program in climate change policy and management in collaboration with the Department of Political Science. Furthermore, the school is responsible for the administration of the W.E. Upjohn Center for the Study of Geographical Change.
The College of Arts and Sciences at É«É«À² Michigan University offers several opportunities for you to get a head start on your graduate degree while enrolled as an undergraduate. Through É«É«À²â€™s Accelerated Graduate Degree Program, students meeting certain criteria can enroll in up to 12 credit hours of designated 5000- and 6000-level courses for graduate credit. These designated courses may be used in completion of both the bachelor’s and master’s degree.
